TIMEPERIOD: Q4 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Majvor Ekberg Univ adj PREREQUISITES Applicants must have completed the courses PÄS030, PÄS031 and PÄS032. COURSE AIM The aims of the course are that students: - develop ability to analyse the political, economic and cultural development tendencies of today in global context - develop ability to identify similarities and differences that lead to increased understanding, tolerance and respect for the individual's cultural inheritance and position on ideological and religious issues - acquire methodological skills in thematic and project work - complete the theoretical aspects of the degree project CONTENTS ITEM 1 and 2 Global environmental issues World regions - the third world Foreign constitution. Economic globalisation. Population movements and the growth of a world culture during the revolution of information. The bipolar world of the cold war and its dissolution 1945-1989. From modernism to postmodernism - one world. The content of faith of the religions, with an emphasis on ways of thinking and forms of expression. Encounters and confrontations between the religions from global perspective. The different patterns of life of the religions. Religion as a factor that creates identity. Thematic studies, "The global society". A selection of books for children, young people and adults. ITEM 3 Degree project TEACHING Lectures, lessons, seminars, study visits and excursions. The teaching will be characterised by activating, group-based, problem-based and interdisciplinary work procedures. The students will keep a study journal and a "portfolio". EXAMINATION Written and oral examination, individually and in groups. Written exam on the theoretical aspects of the degree project. COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass. ITEMS/CREDITS | |
