TIMEPERIOD: Q3-Q4 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Kjell Johansson Univ lekt PREREQUISITES Applicants must have completed the courses PÄN001, KSP049, PÄP045 and PÄP008. COURSE AIM The aims of the course are that students acquire in-depth theoretical knowledge of the ideological, financial and juridical policy for the field of recreation activities. Students are also to acquire knowledge of: - the public control of comprehensive school, the day-care for school-age children and other recreation activities - the legislation process and goal- and result-orientated management - evaluation and follow-up - the organisation of the public administration and the distribution of duties between central, regional and local government administration - the political and administrative organisation of the municipality in more detail, its duties, authority and difficulties - budgeting and the finances of the municipalities and their units - management and development of a sphere of activities, educational leadership and female and male leadership - different views on the fostering of learning teachers within a "learning" organisation - conflicts and crises and of how to develop an alertness to handling conflicts and crises - recreation activities from an international perspective and national and international networks (ENSAC) - ways of working that encourage children's and adolescents' initiative CONTENTS ITEM 1. Control, management and development of the day-care system for school-age children/ recreation activities. The political and administrative organisation of the State administration, the municipalities and the county councils. Evaluation and follow-up. Budgeting and finances. Leadership. Development of a sphere of activities. Day-care for school-age children/recreation activities from an international perspective ITEM 2. Work placement ITEM 3. Degree project TEACHING Lectures, lessons, seminars, group-work, degree project and work placement. Project-orientated work procedures that help students to develop ability to encourage children's and adolescent's initiative at school and in recreation activities.
