TIMEPERIOD: Q 2 & 4 LANGUAGE:English/Swedish EXAMINER Stefan Hellmer Univ lekt PREREQUISITES IEN 332, IEN333, IEN334, IEN335, Statistics A1 (IEK309), IEN 326, IEN 327 and IEN328 or corresponding. COURSE AIM Is to improve the knowledge of statistical inference, regression analysis and forecasting, as well as enhance the ability to apply these tools in economic analysis. CONTENTS The course starts with a review of basic statistics, simple and multiple regression analysis. With economic theory as basis model specification and results are analysed when the classical assumptions holds. In the latter part the consequences for model specification and results are analyzed when the classical assumptions are violated.
