TIMEPERIOD: Quarter IV LANGUAGE:English/Swedish EXAMINER Glenn Lundborg Univ adj PREREQUISITES General eligibility for admission. COURSE AIM To give knowledge about methods and valuations that are used in planning and design of the builtenvironment and traffic systems. CONTENTS Traffic: Conditions for traffic planning: organization, aim, advise, instructions and development. Town planning: Conditions for town planning: Relation to nature and climate. From area planning to detail planning. Analysis of the landscape, valuation, ecological consideration. Detail planning of a housing area: - Task: To design a housing area with its different activities and traffic systems. TEACHING The theoretical parts will give the basic knowledge required to fulfill the main task of the course, detail planning of a housing area. The design assignment is carried out as a group project. EXAMINATION The design assignments and a written test are judged as pass or fail. To pass the course all of the moments has to be passed.
