TIMEPERIOD: Quarter I LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Christian Lundberg Univ adj PREREQUISITES SBG005. COURSE AIM The course will give an introduction to the techniques of Geographic Real Time Systems. The student will acquire knowledge about concepts, terminology, tools and application areas. In the laboratory work the students will put together the different components of a Geographic Real Time Systems and also build an application, which gives the opportunity to acquire practical skills in programming (Visual Basic). CONTENTS Sensors: Sensors in cars, environmental sensors, silicon based sensors, and A/D conversion. Data communication: Different types of data transport, e.g. ground and satellite based radio communication, networks, the OSI model, TCP/IP. System design: Real Time Systems, event-driven programming, and development of Geographic Real Time Systems. Examples of application areas. TEACHING Lectures, seminars och laboratory work.
