TIMEPERIOD: Q IV LANGUAGE:English/Swedish EXAMINER Jonas Hedlund Fo ass PREREQUISITES KMA001, KMA005, KMP014 and KMK019 COURSE AIM The aim of the course is to enable the student to choose and dimension equipment for use in chemical process operations. It is also the purpose of the course to give the theoretical background for determining the operational mode, control and optimization of these processes. CONTENTS Mass and energy balances, reaction kinetics, ideal and real tank reactors, adiabatic equilibrium processes, Reactor capacity, selectivity and yield, reactor stability. TEACHING The course is presented in the form of lectures, tutorials and laboratory excercises. Assignment problems are done in connection with the tutorials. EXAMINATION Approved laboratory reports, tutorials and an approved written examination with differentiated grades. COURSE GRADE SCALE: U,3,4,5 ITEMS/CREDITS | |
