KMK053 Chemical Equilibria with Didactics 7.5 ECTS credits | |

TIMEPERIOD: Q IV LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Lars Gunneriusson Univ lekt PREREQUISITES PÄN400, PÄN404 och PÄN405 or corresponding COURSE AIM The course shall provide a basic knowledge of chemical equilibrium systems and ability to perform equilibrium calculations, especially in water solutions. Furthermore, the course shall give knowledge of the didactics in the subject. CONTENTS Different equilibrium principles, applicable to industrial systems and natural waters, are studied with the use of diagrams and mathematical calculations. The influence of temperature, ionic strength as well as the alkalinity concept will be discussed. The theory is applied during laboratory experiments. The teaching of didactics for chemical equilibria will be performed in project form TEACHING The instruction consists of lectures, lessons and compulsory laboratory classes. EXAMINATION Graded written exam, passed project and laboratory reports. COURSE GRADE SCALE: U, 3, 4, 5 ITEMS/CREDITS | |
