PREREQUISITES
Posses a bachelor´s degree in science or 120 university points in the field of science or equivalent and have profiency in English.

COURSE AIM
To give a knowledge on the working environment as a total system including man, to make the student familiar with the planning processes which are used to develop and design such systems and to give knowledge on methods to describe and analyse human work as a basic pre-requisite of system design.

CONTENTS
The concept of systems ergonomics; Industrial and othe production systems; The role of humans in systems; Man-machine-(computer)-organisation interaction: Methods of system evaluation; Socio-technical systems; The process of change; Theory of planning; Methods of industrial and environmental planning.

TEACHING
The teaching will be mainly in the form of lectures and compulsory seminars.

EXAMINATION
Written trests and mini project presentation.
