TIMEPERIOD: QIII-IV LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Hans Mattsson Univ lekt PREREQUISITES Basic courses and other obligatory courses for the Civil Engineering Programme, fulfilled job training period. COURSE AIM The aim of the course is to give training in design, productive planning, quantity surveying and to prepare a bid for an industrial building or a civil engineering projekt. CONTENTS The course deals with an ongoing project e.g. an industrial plant which shall be built on a design and build contract. The students work in groups simlating a project team in a construction company. The groups prepare their technical and commercial proposals in competition with each other. The result of the work is a bid for the job including description of the proposed technical solutions which shall be defended in simulated negatiation about the contract. TEACHING The teaching will start with some lectures on the specific project. Lectures intended to assist in solving the current problems are given as needed. The groups have possibility to consult the teachers who give advise but not solutions. EXAMINATION The examination consists of the simulated negotiations and the written documents. In the first stage technical solutions are delivered at the end of QIII followed by a complete bid at the end of QIV. COURSE GRADE SCALE: U, G ITEMS/CREDITS | |
