TIMEPERIOD: LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER K Heimdahl Univ adj PREREQUISITES The particular and general requirements for access to the the Teachers' Training Program aiming at teaching first to seventh formers of the Swedish Primary School System or the fourth to ninth form of said system as well as the pedagogue program aiming at Pre-School Teachers' Training or Recreation Instructor Education. COURSE AIM The students will -be familiar with the conditions of learning and able to take on responsibility for their own learning. -acquire knowledge of the development of modern society and the factors that affect the development of society. -acquire basic knowledge of a scientific attitude and scientific method and its applications. and develop their social competence as well as -awareness of a human viewpoint and a social attitude to knowledge -ability to reflect, evaluate and take an attitude. -self-reliance and trust in one's own ability. -communicative competence -creative competence CONTENTS -the foundations of values and the formation and probing of values -development individually and in groups -means of expression and communication -basic theory of science and method of research -search of information via libraries and data banks -how to use the computer TEACHING Varied working methods and teaching methods are the main characteristics of the course. Camping and spending one night outdoors are integral parts of the course. The course is conducted as joint class studies. EXAMINATION Examination is carried out by evaluation of individual assignments, group assignments, one multi-subject thematic assignment and project work. COURSE GRADE SCALE: Passed. Not passed.
