PREREQUISITES
Applicants must have completed the courses KSP044, PÄS021, PÄP042 and PÄN026.

COURSE AIM
The aims of the course are that students:
- develop ability to analyse and critically study the function of recreation activities in modern society, its organisation and its content
- develop ability to reflect on the professional role and competence of a recreation instructor, and how it relates to the above
- gain insight into work procedures that encourage adolescents' initiative

CONTENTS
Adolescent's initiative in recreation activities
Suggestions for projects:
- Adolescents' recreation in the media society
- Recreation activities for adolescents: outdoor life, sports, culture - theatre, drama, art & design and music
Suggestions for in-depth studies:
- Adolescents in need of special support
- Ethics and moral issues

TEACHING
Lectures, literature seminars, group-work, degree project and work placement. Project-orientated work procedures that help student to develop ability to encourage children's and adolescent's initiative in recreation activities.

EXAMINATION
Written and oral examination, individually and in groups.
Final evaluation of the degree project.
COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass.

COURSE LITERATURE
Litteratur om företagsamhet meddelas senare.
Övrig litteratur i anslutning till projekt och ämnesfördjupning beslutas i samråd med lärarna
och examinator.
