TIMEPERIOD: Q4 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Peter Bengtsson Univ lekt PREREQUISITES Applicants must have completed the courses KSP046, PÄP044, PÄS030, PÄN024 and PÄN025. COURSE AIM The aims of the course are that students acquire in-depth knowledge of: - the physiology, organs and organic systems of the human body - common diseases and functional handicaps - the biology of sex life, contraceptive methods and sexually transmitted infection - the benefit of healthy habits and the health risks of addictive drugs - a few concept in classical physics and the qualities of mechanic and electromagnetic waves - the axiomatic and deductive construction of plane geometry - practical as well as theoretical models for explaining geometry at comprehensive school The aims are also that students: - develop ability to plan and carry out teaching in natural science based on experiments and empiric methods - learn how to connect the teaching to everyday life and modern society - plan and prepare the practical aspects of the degree project CONTENTS Human physiology and anatomy, health, SANT and sex education. Mechanics, acoustics, optics. Euclid geometry, depictions of uniformity, proportionality and scale. Background to the degree project. Computer-based learning programmes. TEACHING The teaching will be partly problem-based and will be supplemented with lectures, lessons, literature seminars, laboratory work, excursions and study visits. The students will be able to choose a subject for their degree projects within the frames of the course content. EXAMINATION Written and oral examination, individually and in groups.
