COURSE AIM
Students should be able to:
-solve problem of non-routine character,
-account for how conceptualization in pupils in compulsory comprehensiv school can be stimulated with creative working methods.


CONTENTS
The course has a didactic orientation with its focuse on conceptualization and problem-solving. Concreate materials are used in all areas e.g. games, plays as support for concept development. Manufacturing of their own constructions in interaction with handicraft.
*Numbers and number comprehension
The four rules of arithmetic, natural numbers, integers, decimal numbers, fraction, percentage, process knowledge, concept knowledge.
*Geometry
Conceptualization, laboratory methods, outdoor mathematics.
Algebra
Basic concepts, solutions of equations, applications.
*Problem-solving
Strategy of problem-solving, everyday mathematics, mathematics as recreation.


TEACHING
Lessons and group practice.


EXAMINATION
Compulsory assignements, displays and work folders.

COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass.
