TIMEPERIOD: Q3 - Q4 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Patrik Söderholm Univ lekt PREREQUISITES General eligibility with at least grade 3 from a 3 year upper secondary school course program or corresponding. COURSE AIM The course aim is to introduce policy problems and possibilities for a market economy to deal with environmental and natural resource problems. CONTENTS The course deals with the economic causes of environmental degradation. Different methods to value the environment are treated, along with different economic tools to correct market failures. Other issues treated include trade and the environment, sustainable development and the optimal use of resources and its link to property rights.
