TIMEPERIOD: Q III LANGUAGE:English/Swedish EXAMINER Faramarz Agahi Univ lekt PREREQUISITES Grade Pass in Informatics and System Science A and B, 20 points, or equivalent courses to be approved by the examiner. Grade Pass in Basic Statistics. COURSE AIM The aim of the course is to give the student understanding of - the process of management desicion making and the different levels of information that are required - the different modelling techniques and how to incorporate them into information systems that support managerial decisions. CONTENTS The course includes - managerial decision making framwork (operational and meta-systemic decisions; establishing a mission and objectives; planning) - normative and determinative foundations for management decision making - integrating ethics and norms into decision making - quantiative techniques: regression analysis, simulation, their application to planing and decision models - computer systems for desicion making (databases, analytical and modelling modules and user interface) TEACHING Lectures, tutorials/worhshops.
