TIMEPERIOD: Q III LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Istvan Orci Docent PREREQUISITES Real-Time Information Systems for Operational Management 1 (IEA331) or equivalent. COURSE AIM The aim of the course is to give the student fundamental knowledge of construction of real-time information systems for command and control. CONTENTS Formal methods (6.0 credits) - formal specifications - functionality, validation - correctness, verification - safety and security, certification Modelling and simulation (6.0 credits) - abstract modelling - discrete-event simulation - simulation experiments - konceptual validation, statistic validation - simulation - education and training - simulation languages - programming of simulation models Applications (3.0 credits) - rescue systems - traffic control systems - integrated security systems - office atutomation systems - "intelligent" buildings - administrative production control systems - industrial surveillance/maintenance systems - network management systems - store management systems - bookings systems TEACHING Teaching will take the form of lessons/lectures, seminars and laboratory work.
