TIMEPERIOD: Q III LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER L Furberg Fo ing PREREQUISITES Administrative Data Processing Systems A or equivalent. COURSE AIM The aim of the course is to give deeper knowledge in relation data bases and the SQL- language and knowledge in objectoriented data bases. The course will give knowledge about problems in data bases concerning transactions management, simultaneousness and security. CONTENTS -Theory of data bases, different databases and file management -Relation data bases -SQL -Objectoriented data bases -Transactions management and problems concerning simultaneousness -Application development Project assignments: development of database system and database application TEACHING Teaching will take form of lessons/lectures and laboratory work.
