PREREQUISITES
The basic mathematics source for first year engineering students.


COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to give deeper knowledge and understanding of the basic of mathematics in particular linear algebra, by modelling and analysis of mathematical applications of economical type, but also interpolation, approximation, optimization and graphtheory.


CONTENTS
Applications in linear algebra, matrices, vectors, system of equations, eigenvalues, eigenvectors, iteration, interpolation, approximation, optimization, convergens and methods for solving system of linear equations.


TEACHING
The teaching consists of lectures, exercises and computer laborations.


EXAMINATION
Examination is written. Correction of examination according to alternative A in "Regler för tentamen".
