PREREQUISITES
Basic course in machine elements and solid mechanics.

COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to theoretically and experimentally present elastohydrodynamic lubrication which is a part of tribology. Special attention is given to lubricant rheology at high pressures.

CONTENTS
General tribology, basic equations, elastohydrodynamic lubrication. Project work.
The theoretical formulation of elastohydrodynamic lubrication is presented. The division's experimental equipment for lubricant investigation is used by the students to highlight some of the theoretical results.

TEACHING
The students present the course literature in seminars. 1/3 of the course is a project work.

EXAMINATION
Rank 3: Completed seminars, project work and hand in exams.
Rank 4: As rank 3 but with excellent seminars and project work.
Rank 5: Written exam.
