TIMEPERIOD: Q I LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Anders Wåhlin Univ lekt PREREQUISITES Basic Mechanics. COURSE AIM To broaden the basic knowledges of classical mechanics and make the students familiar with central concepts and methods. To give connection to technical applications by laboration work and practical problem solving. CONTENTS Statics: Equlibrium in 3 dim., center of mass, hydrostatics. Dynamics:(Particles and rigid bodies): Kinematics in 3 dim, general equations of motion, laws of conservation, relative motion, Coriolis effect, inertia tensor. Special appplications: Celestical mechanics (motion of planets and satellites), vibrations, gyroscopic motion. TEACHING The education consists of lectures and lessons and compulsory laboratory experiments. EXAMINATION Calculation taskas. Laboratory experiments and written examination at the end of the course. Homework, well accomplished, will be counted in the ranking. COURSE GRADE SCALE: Passed, Good ITEMS/CREDITS | |
