TIMEPERIOD: Q IV LANGUAGE:English/Swedish EXAMINER Per Arve Univ lekt PREREQUISITES Quantum Physics II. Solid State Physics. COURSE AIM The course aims to develop an ability to analyse quantal systems. Aditionally, the course will give knowledge on principle and practical aspects on technically interesting devices and processes. CONTENTS General relations for the absorption of light. Electromagnetic fields in dielectric materials. Atomic aspects of the laser. Electromagnetic properties of metals.
