TIMEPERIOD: LANGUAGE: EXAMINER Ö Johansson Fo ass PREREQUISITES General eligibility for admission to university courses and a good knowledge in English. COURSE AIM To give the basic knowledge of the concepts of accoustics and vibrations, noise and vibrations hazards to man and noise control. CONTENTS Accoustics concepts; Perception of noise and vibration; Physiological and psychological effects of noise; Speech communication; Sound insulation and isolation; Effects of vibration; Measurement techniques and the control of noise and vibration. TEACHING Lectures and compulsory laboratory practicals. EXAMINATION Written examination, assignments and laboratory reports. COURSE GRADE SCALE: ITEMS/CREDITS | |
