KSP019 Physical Activities, Outdoor Education and Health II 7.5 ECTS credits | |
TIMEPERIOD: T 6 LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER I Karlefors Univ adj PREREQUISITES To have passed the courses KSP001 and KSP002 specializing in sport and KSP018. COURSE AIM The aim of the course is to provide the students with experience and knowledge about: - different elements in physical education according to Lpo-94 as well as personal and methodological skills in the elements - outdoor activities during winter time - a method of working that allows them to reflect over and consider their attitudes towards physical education in school - how physical education can work to strengthen the individual and groups - how physical education can work together with other subjects in school CONTENTS During the course the students will learn games, dances, different sport activities that can be used in compulsory school. Winter education will be carried out, including one complete week in mountain terrain and any costs arising from this are to be borne by the students themselves. Great importance is attached to a way of teaching that is both full of variety and the joys of movement. The students should learn how to consciously make choices of materials and ways of working taking into account Lpo 1994, the age, sex and individual abilities of the pupils The course illustrates the difference between physical education and health in school and the sports movement in society. TEACHING The teaching is mainly practical and concrete with elements of reflections, discussions and theoretical studies. Parts of the course will be in form of lectures. Attendance for the course is compulsory. EXAMINATION The students will be graded on assignments, in writing as well as in practice, individually and in groups.
