COURSE AIM
The course gives knowledge about the demands placed on pre-school, compulsory comprehensive school and child care based on the current control documents.
The students should have knowledge about significance of co-operation to simplify children´s trasition from pre-school to school and child care, and to support children´s school attendance and comprehensiv development.


CONTENTS
The course deals with:
-function and content of the current control document,
-basic functions, vocational traditions and vocational qualifications of the pre-school teacher, the recreation instructor and the compulsory school teacher,
-different models of co-operations,
-beginning of school year,
-parental participation andco-operation , theories and methods,
-psychology of team group,
-language and sex/girls´and boys´different typs of possibilities of expressing,
-medias and influence.
The students should work on attidudes for and values of the different vocational roles.


TEACHING
The students from the study programmes for Pre-School Teacher, Recreation Instructor and Compulsory School Teacher form joint classes. Every class have four study groups. The students carry out field studies in the two other activity areas of the vocational groups. Every class has a team group consisting of one teacher in methodolodgy, one in pedagogy and one in Swedish.
The students have one basic course together with obligatory course literature. The teachers give lectures, lead seminar discussions and supervise the study groups. Every class works with four specialized assignments.


EXAMINATION
The students will be graded on specialized assignments and field assignments as well as on literature seminars.

COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass.
