PREREQUISITES
General admission requirements.

COURSE AIM
The aims of the course are that students:
- acquire in-depth knowledge of scientific work procedures
- gain familiarity with the didactic meaning of the experiment
- develop understanding of the benefit of integration of different subjects in scientific teaching
- develop ideas for experimental scientific teaching


CONTENTS
Scientific history of ideas
Practical exercises in how to plan and carry through experiments
Analysis, evaluation and presentation of experiments
Examples of how to build aquariums and terrariums for biological experiments
Risks and safety aspects of experimental activities


TEACHING
The teaching will be mainly problem-based, and exercises and assignments will be done in groups. Lessons, laboratory work and exercises will be integrated.

EXAMINATION
Practical, oral and written presentation of group assignments and individual assignments.
COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass.
