PREREQUISITES
Applicants must have completed the course KSP046 for nursery and infant teachers and secondary school teachers, or PÄP038 in Skellefteå for recreation instructors.

COURSE AIM
The aims of the course are that students acquire knowledge of:
- different research methods, in order that they may be able to work out the aim, the method and the theoretical background of/to their individual degree projects
- information retrieval
- methods for simple statistic data processing


CONTENTS
Scientific theory, research methodology, research methods and report writing
Critical study of scientific material
Statistic data processing
Information retrieval.
Photo and film technique


TEACHING
Teacher-supervised introduction, supervision of the students' individual work, seminars, and proficiency training according to the content of the course.

EXAMINATION
Written and oral examination, individually and in group.
COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass.
