PREREQUISITES
Entrance requirements: principals of Economics at 100-200 level or corresponding.

COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to give basic insights into the economic problems of the developing countries.

CONTENTS
The course begins with an overview of developing theories. Domestic as well as international aspects of the developing countries economy will be explored. Further the impact of institutional factors, physical and human capital, technology and natural resources endowment upon the economy will be analyzed. The course will also consider distributional aspects upon economic development.

TEACHING
Attendance of lectures.

EXAMINATION
Written examination and group assignments.
