General eligibility and mathematical skills from a 3 year upper secondary school, course programme or similar.
COURSE AIM
To provide basic knowledge about how the economy functions as well as application of economic theory on current issues. In addition, the course should provide ability to critically examine and analyze economic conditions and development trends.
CONTENTS
The course begins with an explanation of basic macro economic terms. Following this, macro economic theories are presented to explain economic conditions and development trends. The course also treats matters such as unemployment, inflation and economic growth.
