TIMEPERIOD: LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Guohua Bai Univ adj PREREQUISITES Administrative Data Processing Systems A1, 15 credits, or equivalent. COURSE AIM The aim of the course is to give the student knowledge on General Systems Theory, in context of Information Systems Construction and Development, and Methodologies, techniques, and programming in design an Administrative Information Systems. CONTENTS Part 1: General Systems Theory, Administrative Information Systems Construction and Development deals with (40%) - Theories on systems, construction and development - Historical view of different constructions of Administrative Information Systems, e.g Artificial Intelligence(AI), Decision Support Systems(DSS), Human Computer Interaction(HCI), Informatics Part 2: Methodologies of developing Administrative Information Systems(60%): 1. Traditional Systems Development (40%) - Systems analysis and requirements definition - Projects design and modelling - Programming (C) - Documentation - System testing and implementation - Systems maintenance - Systems evaluation and redesign 2. Prototyping and user-oriented Systems Development (20%) - Different types of prototyping approaches in information systems development - Human factors in human-computer interactive (HCI systems design) - Scandinavian tradition -Participatory design (PD) approach TEACHING Teaching will take the form of lessons/lectures and laboratory work.
