COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to give knowledge of mathematical modeling of complex industrial problems and basic operations research techniques.

CONTENTS
Operations research concerns the application of mathematical modeling of complex problems arising in the management and operation of large systems of human beings, machines, materials and money in industry, business, government and defense. The purpose is to help management to determine its policy and actions.
Techniques of operations research considered are: Linear programming, linear goal programming, integer programming, dynamic programming, non-linear programming, network analysis, game theory and decision analysis. Applications: Production planning, product-mix decisions, facility location, routing and scheduling of vehicles and crews, blending problems and investment planning.
