TIMEPERIOD: IV LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER H Myrlund Univ adj PREREQUISITES None COURSE AIM - To give an understanding of the historical, geographical, religious and political conditions in the Middle East. CONTENTS - The concept Middle East. The areas history and also the religious and cultural developement with emphasis on past few centuries. - The political developement in the region since WWII. - The conflict between Isrealies and Arabs. - Attemps to make peace in the region. TEACHING EXAMINATION Written exam, oral and written report of research assignment. Seminars. Grading system: Swedish grades 3,4,5. COURSE GRADE SCALE: 3, 4, 5 ITEMS/CREDITS | |
