TIMEPERIOD: Q IV LANGUAGE:English EXAMINER J. Donald R. de Raadt Prof PREREQUISITES General competence. COURSE AIM The aim of the course is to give the student knowledge and understanding of teamwork in organisations between management, administartion and information. It is also to give her/him a view of the problems which arise in this teamwork. CONTENTS Information is an essential idea in the field of systems science. According to this different concepts and theories of information will be discussed. The role of information in the management and administration of organisations and the impact of information on social systems will also be discussed. Theoretical studies as well as applications will be used. TEACHING Teaching will take the form of lectures, tutorials and computer labs. EXAMINATION Fail, Pass, Pass with Distinction. Examination will take the form of reports, oral presentations and a written exam. COURSE GRADE SCALE: U, G, VG ITEMS/CREDITS | |
