PREREQUISITES
General qualifications.

COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to give the student knowledge on developing and working with Decision Support Systems.

CONTENTS
The course deals with:
1. Systematic view of DSS
- an introduction to DSS
- Model of human decision making
2. Design of DSS
- Methodologies in developing DSS
- Structure and Construction of DSS
- DSS database, model-base, interface design
3. Use and integration of DSS in work
- Constructing work context and tools
- Integrated network services in decision making
- Some social-technical considerations in developing a DSS

TEACHING
Teaching will take the form of lessons/lectures (in Enlish, on request in Swedish) and project work.

EXAMINATION
Examination will be in the form of written examination and required assignments of project work.
