COURSE AIM
To give the student basic knowledge of microbiology, understanding of how microorganisms affect transformation and transport of different materials.
CONTENTS
Major types of microorganisms, their metabolism and metabolic diversity, their growth and its control.
Microbial ecology. Microorganisms and biogeochemical cycles. Applications to environmental protection. Industrial microbiology.
