COURSE AIM
The course will give an introduction to the techniques of Geographical Realtime systems. The student will acquire knowledge about concepts, terminology, tools and application areas. In the laboratory work the students will put together the different components of a Geographical Real Time Systems and also build an application which gives the opportunity to acquire practical skills in programming (Visual Basic).
CONTENTS
Sensors: GPS, DGPS, Inertial Navigation Systems
Teletransmission: Telecommunication, radio, satellite communication, Mobitex Hardware configuration. Development of an application for Geographical Real Time Systems. Examples of application areas.
TEACHING
Lectures, seminars och laboratory work. Participation in laboratory work is compulsory.
