TIMEPERIOD: Q III LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Johan Eriksson 1 fo ing PREREQUISITES Mineral Processing Technology (KMM005), Introductory Course in Metallurgy (KMP004), Chemical engineering (KMA001). COURSE AIM The course will give a basic knowledge in process analysis and methods for controlling processes within the mineral, metallurgy and chemical industries. CONTENTS The extent of each part is given in %. Strategies for controlling (50%). Modeling, PID-controllers, statistic process control (SPC). Examples from the industry (37%). Guest lectures from the mineral, metallurgy and chemical industries. Laboratory work (13%). TEACHING The education consists of lectures, exercices and laboratory work. Laboratory work are compulsory.
