TIMEPERIOD: Q II-IV LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER R Gärd 1 fo ing PREREQUISITES Basic qualifications. COURSE AIM The course provides basic knowledge in general chemistry, corresponding to the natural sciences or secondary school study line or equivalent. CONTENTS Q II Some fundamental concepts of chemistry. Stoichiometry. The ideal gas equation. Chemical bonding. Q III Chemical reactions. Chemical equilibrium I. Thermochemistry. Acids and bases. Chemical equilibrium II. Q IV Organic chemistry. Biochemistry. TEACHING The instruction consists of lessons and compulsory laboratory classes. Computers are used as an integrated part of the education. EXAMINATION Graded written examinations after Q II, III and IV. Passed laboratory reports.
