TIMEPERIOD: Q IV LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Studierektor PREREQUISITES Basic qualifications COURSE AIM The course provides the chemistry behind the characteristics of different materials. It aims to facilitate the understanding of future courses in metallurgical case studies and to give the ability to solve problems in physical chemistry. CONTENTS Some fundamental concepts of chemistry. Chemical bonding. Chemical thermodynamics. Chemical kinetics. The chemistry of the solid state. TEACHING The instruction consists of lessons, exercises and compulsory laboratory classes. EXAMINATION Graded written examination. Passed laboratory reports.
