TIMEPERIOD: Q IV LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Lars Gunneriusson Univ lekt PREREQUISITES Basic course in chemistry (KMK042 or corresponding). COURSE AIM The course provides comprehensive coverage of the chemistry in water solutions: acid-base reactions, complex formation, precipitation and dissolution reactions and redox reactions. CONTENTS Different equilibrium principles, applicable to industrial systems and natural waters, are studied with the use of diagrams and mathematical calculations. The influence at ionic strenght, and, the alkalinity concept are also discussed. The theory are applied during laborations. TEACHING The instruction consists of lessons and compulsory laboratory classes. EXAMINATION Graded written exam and passed laboratory reports. COURSE GRADE SCALE: U,3,4,5 ITEMS/CREDITS | |
