TIMEPERIOD: Q IV LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Esa Vuorinen Univ adj PREREQUISITES Basic knowledge of metallic and non-metallic materials. COURSE AIM To provide the students with a knowledge of the systematic method for selection of materials. CONTENTS The students will work with industrial problems concerning materials selection. A systematic approach to select materials will be used for these projects. The lectures will treat different aspects of the selection procedure. Possibilities and limitations of databases and other information sources for materials properties will be treated during the course. TEACHING Lectures and project work in small groups.
