TIMEPERIOD: Q IV LANGUAGE:English/Swedish EXAMINER M Oldenburg Univ lekt PREREQUISITES COURSE AIM The aim of the course is to put forward the possibilities and limitations of the use of computer based design tools. The student will learn to understand and apply a number of curve and surface formulations used in surface and solid modeling systems. CONTENTS Exact mathematical representations of geometry in computer aided design. Parametric curves and surfaces. NURB formulation with programming exercise. Programming exercises with generation and visualisation of 3D curves and surfaces. Solid represented with CSG and boundary representation. Computer aided design exercise with use of surface and solid representations. TEACHING The education consist of lectures, exercises and computer exercises. Participation in computer exercises are compulsory. EXAMINATION Fulfilled computer exercises and a written examination at the end of the course. COURSE GRADE SCALE: ITEMS/CREDITS | |
