TIMEPERIOD: LANGUAGE:Swedish EXAMINER Antony Lindgren Univ lekt PREREQUISITES Sociology B 20p. COURSE AIM The aim of the course is to provide the students with a fundamental understanding of the functioning of society and a summary of sociological problems and methods to study social issues. The aim is also to provide a deepened understanding of scientific principles. CONTENTS The course consists of following parts: Part 1. Analysis (5p) Advanced understanding of the methodology and theory of science within sociology and the social sciences in general. Part 2. Theory. (5p) Advanced understanding of sociological theory. Part 3. Thesis. (10p) To train the students to work individually with a scientific problem. The thesis can be theoretical or empirical.
