COURSE AIM To give students: (a) a better insight in the design process, (b) traing in the application of their knowledge in a project, and (c) glimpses from ongoing research projects. CONTENTS Stability of Structures: Contributions to the stability of a building from e.g. high beams, walls, and columns. Precast structures: Connections. Repair and strengthening of structures. How to avoid cracking in concrete structures? Design Project: The design of a multistorey building including calculations and drawings.
