ABS017 Steel Structure Project 6.0 ECTS credits | |
TIMEPERIOD: QII LANGUAGE:English/Swedish EXAMINER B Johansson Prof PREREQUISITES ABS 006, ABS 008. COURSE AIM The course gives knowledge of conceptual and detail design of composite bridges, steel bridges and other large scale steel structures. CONTENTS Lectures will be given on. Conceptual design of bridges, loads, safety. Erection methods. Theory for composite structures. Design of stiffened plates. Design of ortotropic bridge decks. TEACHING The course is given as project in which groups of two students perform a design task from tender documents to finished project documents. Computer aids are used for design calculation and drawing. Lectures supporting the work are given as well as private consultations. EXAMINATION The grade approved requires an approved project documentation. COURSE GRADE SCALE: passed/not passed ITEMS/CREDITS | |
