PREREQUISITES
Chemistry B or equivalent.

COURSE AIM
The course will provide basic knowledge in analytical chemistry. The course will also provide an understanding of statistics and error analysis relevant to analytical chemistry .

CONTENTS
Principles of measurement, equipment, sources of error and applications of modern instrumental methods for chemical analysis. Sampling strategies and methods, sample preparation, interferences during analysis.

TEACHING
The course is presented in the form of lectures and laboratory exercises. The laboratory exercises are compulsory.

EXAMINATION
Approved laboratory reports and a written examination with the grades u (fail), g (pass) or vg (pass with distinction).
