SMR017 Control systems, SMR011 Computer based control systems, some basic knowledge of stochastic processes is necessary

COURSE AIM
The course is aimed to provide an introduction and overview of the theoretical and practical issues of adaptive control.

CONTENTS
Introduction. Real-time parameter estimation. Deterministic self-tuning regulators. Stochastic and predictive self-tuning regulators. Model-reference adaptive control. Properties of adaptive systems. Stochastic adaptive control. Auto-tuning. Gain scheduling. Practical issues and implementation.

TEACHING
Lectures, lab tests and computer exercises.
