COURSE AIM
To give the participants basic knowledge and understanding of biology/ecology and environmental protection.

CONTENTS
Basic ecological ideas, autecology, ecology of populations, synecology and structure and function of ecosystems. Environmental protection; air pollution, acidification of the environment, eutrofication, toxicology and ecotoxicology. Threats against biological diversity.
