COURSE AIM
The aim of the course is to give students knowledge and skills that are needed to be able to work as a teacher in the compulsory comprehensive school. The students«experiences and knowledge should be protected in the course through its basis on the students«preconditions. The way of working should stimulate pupil«s responsibility, be problem-directed and goal-directed. The students should: -with starting-point from the curriculum for the compulsory school system be able to work on didactic issues concerning choice and structure of the teaching subject matter, and how this should be implemented in pupils with consideration to individ, grade and subject, -have competence to constructive and critical evalue and use different educational aids, -have theoretical as well as practical knowledge of evaluation and be able to plan and evaluate their own teaching, -have prepered themselves, through profit by research and work with development, to develop their vocational knowledge and participate in the work with development in the school, -be able to critical and analytical examin and take up a definite position concerning facts.

CONTENTS
Degree Project. Working procedures and teaching materials. Theme-directed way of working. Individualization. Tests, opinions and grades. Evaluation.

TEACHING
Theory is combined with teaching practice. The teaching practice is placed in grade 4-9 in the compulsory comprehensive school. The form of teaching is lectures, lessons and seminars. The Degree Project should be finished in the course.

EXAMINATION
The students will be graded on course literature, course assignments, literature seminars as well as on teaching practice and practice assignments. The Degree Project should be examined at a seminar where the examiner-doctoral candidate -method is used.
COURSE GRADE SCALE: Fail, Pass.
