PREREQUISITES
The student must be a graduate and/with at least 20 p of Education for admission.

COURSE AIM
The course "Research Process" is directed towards pedagogical scientific activity with emphasis on its issue to systematical describe and explain pedagogical practice. The central content deals with the conditions of the researc h work, the development of the pedagogical science and scientifical, theoretical problems. The course also comprises statistical conclusions with help from parametrical and non-parametrical methods. The computor is introduced as a aid in research work.

CONTENTS
The education is focused on the three areas of knowledge: intercultural pedagogy, pedagogical leadership and pedagogy for creative activety. The courses Introduction, Advanced Theoretical Course and Research Process are jointly studied.Empirical Applications is based on the chosen area of knowledge. The continuation course is completed with a degree project. Introduction Advanced Theoretical Course Empirical Applications Degree Project The issue of the Pedagogy as a science discipline is to systematic describe, explain and understand the pedagogical practice - rearing and teaching - which exists and has existed in the society. The pedagogical problem area deals with issues of how, why and which values, knowledge and proficiencies that occur, are preserved and changed within and between cultures, generations, groups and individs.

TEACHING
The teaching should give support and structure to the student«s acquisition of knowledge of the course content as well as to give oppurtunity of proficiency training. This assumes an active participation in the education. The education is based on lectures, seminars, group practice and supervision.

EXAMINATION
The examination is written or oral, partly continuous in the framwork of the education, partly at the end of each course. The form of examination can vary from individual written examination to collective tests and essays.
