PREREQUISITES
Manufacturing Engineering I, or equivalent.

COURSE AIM
The course shall give basic knowledge of design, analysis and control of manufacturing systems, and of methods for analysis, rationalisation and maintenance of manufacturing systems.

CONTENTS
Traditional and modern manufacturing philosophies and system designs. Work studies, reductions of work in process, set-up times and lead times. Maintenance, including TPM, and improvement work including Kaizen.

TEACHING
Lectures, seminars and exercises.

EXAMINATION
Written exam.
